I believe there are monsters born in the world to human parents…. The face and body may be perfect, but if a twisted gene or a malformed egg can produce physical monsters, may not the same process produce a malformed soul?

A predator walks: Letting child rapist off without prison time is an outrage in every way
In a travesty gross enough to make a blind statue cry, a juvenile justice counselor who sexually assaulted youngsters he was supposed to protect will be spared a minute of prison time.
Tony Simmons pleaded to having intercourse with a 15-year-old and oral sex with a 16-year-old, and to forcibly molesting another 15-year-old. Grotesquely, the assaults took place in the Manhattan Family Court building.
Simmons’ plea bargain calls for him to accept a sentence of 10 years’ probation and sex offender treatment. That the Manhattan district attorney’s office and Acting Supreme Court Justice Cassandra Mullen agreed to it beggars the imagination.

I couldn’t get a sense of how this happened. Did he pull a successful pity play in court, did he access the judge’s mothering instinct, was he protected by co-sociopaths — I don’t know.
Rutgers freshman is presumed dead in suicide after roommate broadcast gay sexual encounter online
A Rutgers University freshman [Tyler Clementi] appears to have killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after his roommate broadcast live images of the 18-year-old having a sexual encounter with another man on the internet, according to campus and law enforcement sources. . . .
Dharun Ravi, 18, of Plainsboro, and Molly Wei, 18, of Princeton, were charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy for setting up a camera in a dorm room on Sept. 19 and using it to view and transmit a live sex scene, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan.

It seems likely that Dharun Ravi is a sociopath who thought he was just pulling off a “goof.” I doubt he comprehended the violation of what he was doing. I also doubt that he would have felt violated if that had been done to him as sociopathic sexuality is so primitive no privacy is needed.
It is also possible that he was a “good guy sociopath”, not meaning any harm, just seeking a few laughs. However, this would not be true if he doesn’t accept his fault and error here. “Good guy sociopaths” do exist, who actually aren’t evil — though obviously the result of his choices was evil.
Unfortunately, in today’s world, sociopaths no longer feel constrained. In addition to the widespread depiction of sociopathic behavior in popular culture which sociopaths seem to feel licenses their own behavior, there is also the example of modern technological invasions of privacy and surveillance (ISPs keeping track of clients, internet databases, Facebook, etc.). I believe sociopaths pay attention to all of this in determining what is acceptable behavior.

18 women claim NYPD cop illegally strip-searched them
New York, Sep 24 (ANI): A NYPD narcotics detective is facing departmental trial over allegations that he illegally strip-searched 18 women in Brooklyn.
However, he has brushed away the claims calling them all lying druggies.
Two of the 18 women have filed federal suits against Detective Charles Derosalia, including Claudia Bova.
Bova said he forced her to pull her pants down so he could photograph a below-the-navel tattoo with a cell phone camera.
Note that the source is foreign newspaper, as were most of the search results. The NY Daily News does have one article though.
Victim of alleged perv NYPD Det. Charles Derosalia: ‘I was fondled by cop and now I can’t sleep’
One of 18 women who accused an NYPD narcotics detective of improper strip searches says she can’t sleep and is afraid to walk the streets.
Quantalis Legrand, 48, blew the whistle on Detective Charles Derosalia for allegedly forcing her to undress and later strip searching her in a secluded bathroom. . . .
A lawyer for Derosalia said his client denies the charges and referred to the women as “perpetrators.”
In my opinion and experience, the NYPD has a huge problem with sociopathic officers.
He is a nice man.
