     Thanks for the find.

     From the article: “According to recent studies there’s a high prevalence of psychopathy among [Silicon Valley] high-level executives in a corporate environment: 4-8% compared with 1% in the general population.” I would predict the correct percentage would be 8-15% among these CEOs.

     There is nothing scientific about the prevalence percentages. If the 1% figure is based on Hare’s PCL-R that simply is due to higher level SAPs (socially adept psychopaths) not answering the questions truthfully (of course not). Martha Stout, of “The Sociopath Next Door”, uses a figure of 1 in 25 (4%) for the number of psychopaths in the general population. I’d say that 1 in 20 of the people I know are psychopaths, so I would say the percentage is 5%. I look forward to population studies of particular brain structure and gene prevalences.
